FBI Internships - Opportunities
FBI internships are offered throughout the year and come in many forms. First is the Honors Internship Program where interns are paid for their services. This type of internship in the agency requires applicants to go through a full background investigation, security interview, and a few medical tests. Another form is the Volunteer Internship Program. It is a unpaid internship which gives interns first-hand experience of FBI operations and career opportunities. Unpaid interns get to spend ten weeks in the summer and also throughout the year in the agency’s selected offices.
Other FBI internships offered:
- Cyber Internship Program: Interns gain an opportunity to assist in preventing and investigating sophisticated computer threats around the world. These are paid FBI internships and students also spend 10 weeks or longer in the program. Summer interns will spend 40 hours per week.
- Visiting Science Program: FBI’s laboratory is one of the most comprehensive crime labs in the world. Students with science, engineering, or technology backgrounds qualify for these FBI internships. Interns spend three months and receive monthly stipends.
